Rules and Regulations
The Warrington Golf Society is run by its’ members for the pleasure of its’ members. The aims are for all to enjoy the game of golf, whilst participating in a great social event on the day.
The society year starts in March which involves 12 meetings between March and November. Meetings are held every three weeks, at various courses over the North West and North Wales.
Each meeting normally consists of: Coffee and Bacon sandwich on arrival; 18 holes of golf; 2 or 3 course meal followed by prize giving. Prizes are awarded for competition winner and runner-up, team prize, nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two. At the last meeting of the season, prizes are awarded for the overall season winners (Order of Merit and Runner-up, Team of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year).
New Members Information: The society welcomes all players who wish to join from all parts of the UK. If you’re interested in joining or coming along as a guest to some of our competitions please contact the Society for further details by using the society email address email@example.com
New members who join, will have to play off a handicap of 18 for the first three rounds, (unless a lower handicap is declared) before being allocated a official handicap. Membership subscriptions is £25.
Dress Code: The society requests that all members maintain a high standard of dress code whilst visiting courses. Members will be required to wear a society polo shirt, sleeveless top or windcheater whilst out on the course, dependant on the weather There is also a dress code for the evening meal which is currently a society dinner shirt with tie. All required society clothing will be funded through the yearly subscriptions.
